Magic Garden

Magic Garden started from the idea to give added value to historical public space, so as to involve contemporary art and new media.

In the Garden of the Roman Catholic Episcopal Palace in Oradea, we will do an art installation exhibition which will have the history of the Palace as inspiration for the artistic theme.

This project is financed with the support of EEA Grants 2014 – 2021 within the RO-CULTURE Programme. The total value of the financing is 965,505.78 lei (approximately 200,000 euros), of which 820,679.91 lei is non-refundable financing from the EEA (approximately 190,000 euros), and 144,825.87 lei – non-refundable financing from the national budget. The duration of the project is eight months.

The EEA Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway towards a green, competitive and inclusive Europe. There are two overall objectives: reduction of economic and social disparities in Europe, and to strengthen bilateral relations between the donor countries and 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics. The three donor countries cooperate closely with the EU through the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).These financing mechanisms are established on the basis of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which brings together the EU member states and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as equal partners in the internal market. The donors have provided €3.3 billion through consecutive grant schemes between 1994 and 2014. For the period 2014-2021, the EEA Grants amount to €1.55 billion.
